Warmer for the Winter
As long as I’m on the topic…winter time seems to be the best time of year to pick up good seasonal brews. For the past few years, my favorite seasonal brew has been Harpoon Winter Warmer . Crafted by the Harpoon Brewery in Boston, Mass, this beer is a great Pale Ale with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. To me, its the nutmeg that stands out the most and adds a little something extra.
While many seasonal beers seem to be nothing more than the same old beer with a different label, Winter Warmer is definitely something worth trying. Everything from the label to the crispy spciy taste says winter is here. Mind you, living in Cleveland there’s not usually a need to remind you that winter is here, but nevertheless, a nice beet helps you forget about the 93 feet of snow outside.
So in short, go out and find yourself some Harpoon Winter Warmer. If you have the means, I’d highly recommend it…
