rss_admin_quikpik for TXP 4.0.4
The rss_admin_quikpik plugin has been newly updated for TXP 4.0.4. The latest version of the plugin is yet another redesign but the concept remains the same. The plugin will add a dropdown menu to the top of the Textpattern admin interface.
The menu contains shortcuts that allow you to navigate between primary tabs, secondary tabs and even individual pieces of content on the tabs. The menu provides a huge time savings if you’re doing a lot of work in the Textpattern admin interface.
Menu Styling
The menu includes default styling which can be easily overriden by creating a style within Textpattern called quikpik. A style by that name will automatically override the styling included with the plugin. Check the plugin page for some alternate styles or create your own. If you create your own styling, please do share.
Admin interface Styling
Becuase the styling is injected into the <head> element of each page, you also have the ability to override any Textpattern styling as with the hpw_admincss plugin.
No More Page Jumping
If you used previous versions of the plugin, you’ll be familiar with the page jump after the menu was initialized each time page was loaded. The new version of the plugin uses output buffering rather than DOM scripting which means the page loads will appear seamless as if the menu was part of the original page.
