My Archives, They Degrade Gracefully!
In typical fashion, the day after a plugin release yields a new version with a few enhancements.
The first of the improvements is based on the suggestion of James and Jeff to do something other than display a blank page when javascript is disabled. I was so excited that I actually got the plugin to work, I totally forgot to consider what would happen if someone had javascipt turned off or it was otherwise unavailable.
Don’t Disappear, Degrade
The plugin is no longer a self-closing tag which means that it should be used like this:
<txp:rss_live_archive>
<txp:rss_suparchive />
</txp:rss_live_archive>
The text or code inside the tag will be placed inside the <noscript> tag and therefore only displayed when the javascript version is not. In the example above, the live archive will degrade to a standard rss_suparchive listing when javascript is off.
Return of the Subdate
The other addition is the use of the subdate as in the rss_suparchive. This optionally allows for the display of the post date next to its title.
You’ll find the latest download on the rss_live_archive plugin page.
